Kate Scott

B.Soc.Sci (Psych), DipNut CNM, mBANT, rCNHC, mIFM

Director VITAGEN-X  |  Nutrigenomics Specialist  |  Registered Nutritional Therapist (UK)

Kate is a UK certified nutritional therapist and nutrigenomics expert. She is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and international member of the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM). She also holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Kate became interested in the molecular interaction between nutrients, lifestyle and the genome (DNA) while studying nutrigenomics in London. This prompted the launch of her first venture, Ingeneius Health, which focused on providing a combination of DNA analysis along with nutrition, supplement and lifestyle recommendations to health practitioners. After two years of research and clinical application, it become apparent that DNA is an important piece of a much more complex puzzle that governs overall health and wellbeing, and that additional factors, such as gut health, nutrient status, stress, sleep, habits, relationships and other lifestyle and environmental inputs need to be considered and tested alongside where possible.  As a result, Vitagen-X was born with the purpose of combining all of these vital factors in order to provide the most holistic picture of current and potential health.
